Fly Fishing
Hidden Springs Ranch is surrounded by some of the top fly-fishing sites in Utah. Avid fishermen will enjoy a day on the Duchesne, Rock Creek, Lake Fork, Yellowstone, or Uintah rivers. These small rivers – all drainages from the High Uintah Mountains, hold a variety of trout including Cutthroat, Rainbow, Brown, Brook, and maybe even a few Goldens or Grayling. Fishermen will enjoy relative solitude on these low-pressure waters. All of these rivers are within a 30-minute drive of the Ranch; two of them are much closer than that. Anglers looking for a little bigger water can take a slightly longer drive to the Green River. This famous river holds a large number of trophy Brown Trout, as well as Rainbows and Cutthroats. Many of the Hidden Springs staff members are expert fly fishermen with years of guiding and fly fishing competition experience. They can set you up with the right gear from our shop in the Activities Center and point you in the right direction. Day fishing passes to our private lakes at Six Lakes Fishing and Wildlife Preserve are also available at the Activities Center.
