Families love to gather and enjoy time together for holidays, weddings, reunions, anniversaries, and summer vacation. Hidden Springs Lodge is an amazing place for families to gather and enjoy all their favorite activities together. In this blog we will share some of the amazing family activities on and around the Hidden Springs Ranch, a great Utah family reunion rental.
One of our favorite activities to enjoy with our family reunion is swimming and relaxing at the pool. The pool area in the backyard of the lodge is perfect for families that enjoy swimming and relaxing in the pool. The large pool and hot tub are great for all ages. On chilly days or in the evenings the large, in-ground hot tub is great to relax and soak. The huge pool is great for swimming on warm afternoons and lounging while the children play.
The large lawn in the backyard is one of our favorite areas of the ranch to spend time during our family reunion playing games and enjoying time with family. On the south side of the lawn is a sand volleyball area and horseshoe pit. The north side of the backyard has a playground and swingset for children. The large lawn is great for playing sports, lawn games, and running around with the children for some exercise.
Family reunions that enjoy the outdoors will love the Hidden Springs Ranch and the surrounding area. On the ranch is a fishing and canoeing pond where families can fish for trout and bass and canoe around the pond with children while they enjoy the beautiful views of this 700-acre ranch. Early in the morning and late in the evening wildlife can often be seen on the ranch. Deer, Elk, coyotes, foxes, and hawks are often spotted on the ranch as families go on walks or bike rides on the dirt roads in the mornings and evenings. The skeet shooting deck and shooting area are both great areas for outdoor families to spend time together shooting clay pigeons or target shooting with pistols, rifles, or bows.
The recreation center on the ranch is an amazing spot for families to gather and play sports. The indoor sports court has pickleball, volleyball, and basketball. The north side of the building has a rock-climbing wall for families to practice their rock climbing skills and have a rock climbing competition.
Surrounding the Hidden Springs Ranch is endless outdoor recreation. North of the ranch about 15 miles is the Ashley National Forest. This national forest is a spectacular area with beautiful canyons, streams, and mountains. Family reunions that enjoy hiking or ATV riding will love exploring this beautiful area. Groups that enjoy fishing will find hundreds of miles of streams to fish. South of the lodge about 10 miles is Sandwash Reservoir State Park. It is a great spot for families that enjoy spending time boating at the lake.
