Spring has arrived at Hidden Springs Ranch. There are calves around the ranch, the green grass is sprouting turning the pastures green, the ice has melted off the ponds, and the birds, deer, rabbits, foxes, and other wildlife are active around the ranch. This is one of our favorite times of the year. Hidden Springs Ranch is perfect for a Utah family vacation any time of the year, but spring is an especially great time of year with all the beautiful wildlife, lower prices, and mild weather. Here are some of our favorite spring activities during a family vacation at Hidden Springs Ranch.
The activity center on the property is a great place to enjoy time during the spring. There are mountain bikes and a rock-climbing wall for rent. Inside the activity center there is a volleyball court, basketball hoop, and an indoor pickleball net. This indoor recreation center is fun for the whole family and a great option anytime of year if the weather gets stormy.
On the ranch are several ponds for families to enjoy while at the Hidden Springs Ranch. The main canoeing and fishing pond is in the middle of the ranch and is perfect for canoeing and fishing. There are canoes kept at the pond and families can bring their own fishing poles or rent one from the ranch.
The backyard of the lodge has a beautiful, large lawn that is great for playing games and sports and a large pool area. The pool area has a great pool and huge hot tub. When the weather is cold the hot tub is perfect for soaking in and relaxing. On warm days the pool is a great way to cool down and swim with your family. There is also a paintball course, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, and firepit in the backyard area.
For those families that enjoy hiking and exploring, the south slope of the Uinta Mountains is just above the lodge, and it is only a 20-minute drive to several of the trailheads into the Ashley National Forest. This is a great time of year to take a hike and watch for wildlife.
